So many people have asked me to review NARS cosmetics and I am happy to tell you my personal opinions regarding the NARS product line.

First I love NARS since it is very pigmented and the colors are fabulous.

NARS blush

“Orgasm”

This blush is a wonderful addition to any makeup collection, its a great color no matter what your skin tone. If you have tan skin its a must have

NARS – Eyeshadows

All NARs eyeshadows are highly pigmented and go on smooth – a little goes a long way!!

These eye shadows are a bit expensive and come in either a duo or in single eye shadows. You just need a little bit of the color to make it pop so even though the price is high they will definitely last you a long time.

NARS Lipsticks

All colors come in a smooth finish

These lipsticks are small and compact and they glide on very easily. They have a little bit of a flavor but nothing overpowering and they feel really good on lips! No SPF though

NARS Foundation

Nars Foundations come in a Sheer Glow Finish or a Sheer Matte Finish

I have used the NARS Sheer Matte Finish and it had a nice airy feel to it. Its a bit runny and doesnt come with a pump which I didnt like. Also, after a while it tended to go a little blotchy on my skin. I would pass on this product and stick with the MAC Studio Finish Liquid. The MAC one has a SPF too and goes on matte and covers VERY well!

Valentines Day is for romancing and enjoying the day with your partner. You never want to wear a ton of makeup – keep it soft and simple! Now that you have your dress all ready and picked out the perfect shoes to match its time to accessorize!! One of the most important accessories is your makeup!

(These products listed below are suggestions, you can always find similar colors/products from different brands, I just like the ones below because I have personally tested them.)

Start off with beautiful soft skin – use a natural moisturizer like Shea butter. This will help heal your rough dry skin and also not cause any irritation to your skin. Also Shea butter will not clog your pores.

Once your skin is prepped. You can put on your foundation, I would recommend that you mix your foundation with very small amount of “Tan”pigment from MAC. Trust me – it will make your skin glow like you just came back from the Caribbean!!

Once you have your foundation in place. Follow up with a nice soft eye and long think lashes! Use a shadow that is a nice grey shimmery shade that will complement your pink lips. Something like this (Bobbi Brown “Mica”)….

Follow up with highlighting your cheeks with the Bobbi Brown Bronze Shimmer Brick and on the top of your cheeks and apply NARS “Orgasm” blush on the apples of your cheeks.

Make you lips kissable by applying one of my newest favorite lip products L’Occitane Rose Petal Lipgloss

Finish off your look with lots of Mascara and some black khol liner inside the eyes to create a sultry sexy look.

Wonderful! All ready to go and enjoy this special day!

As 2009 comes to a close I wanted to share with everyone my top favorite makeup products! I have experimented with so many different brands and products that I found a few that I just absolutely fell in love with and can not live without! Here it goes…. try them and Im sure you will love them too! let me know what you think in the comments

1. NARS Orgasm blush – AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME blush on ANY skin tone

2. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners – These stay on forever and have an amazing color range!

3. Urban Decay Primer Potion – a definate MUST have under any shadow! It will not allow your eyeshadow to crease and it will make the eye makeup to stay on all day/night long!

4. Chanel Glossimers – These are amazing glosses that stay on and feel wonderful!

5. MAC Liquidlast liner – this liner will NOT move – even with tons of tears or rubbing on eyes!

6. OPI Nailpolish – “Bubble Bath“ – Wonderful all natural nail color perfect for everyday or even your special day!

I will add more but for now these are my top favs of the year!!
