Sonia was one of my favorite vendors and I wish I had found her earlier so that I could have used for all the events. She did an amazing job with my hair and makeup on the Sangeet night – she did traditional makeup but now she also offers air brushing. Her prices are very reasonable as well. She did my hair for all the events as well and pinned all my chunnies on all my outfits. What I LOVED about Sonia is that she was there when I needed her the most and was very accommodating when things ran late. I had an outfit change DURING the wedding ceremony and another one after the wedding and I needed her there to help make sure my hair was reset properly and everything was in order and she stayed the entire day to help me. I changed from my lehnga where I had a chunni pinned on my hair to a south Indian sari during the wedding and Sonia helped me change and fixed my hair. Then after the wedding when my hair was FILLED with rice because of the rice ceremony, she helped take it all out and repin my outfit so I could get professional pictures taken with my husband. We hadn’t made plans to have her stay all day initially but she was flexible once the events started and neither one of us realized how much rice would be in my hair. It felt like I was hanging out with a good friend all day – she was in a good mood and was actually enjoying herself which made me feel so much better about keeping her around all day. She was a lifesaver and I can’t wait to hire her again for some event! Highly highly recommend her!

Sonia did an amazing job – arrived early, did touch ups on family, and was efficient! She event helped me put on my sari. Her makeup and hair looks lasted the entire day and looked great in photos.

I hired Sonia to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I had a trial with 1 other person in the Chicago area that is geared towards the indian community but really didnt like her style. Sonia has a modern twist on the tradional Indian style I was looking for. I knew when I met her that she was sweet and really knew what she was talking about. She listened to me and didnt press her ideas on me too much. I really loved what she did for me on my wedding day. Even though we didnt pay her for sticking around, she still did just to ensure everything went smoothly. She also ran around doing other errands we needed to have done just because she was such a nice person! She used top quality products and my makeup and hair lasted ALL DAY! Everyone loved the way I looked and especially my husband. My sister also got her hair and makeup done as well.
