2012 is here and it now time to revamp your cosmetics and show just how trendy you are! I am here to help you with what is in for Spring! All these products are suggestions and you can always find the same types of colors with any brand.
1. TANGERINE AND CHERRY RED LIPSTICK
Try MAC “Montage” Lipstick and MAC “Russian Red”
Orange isn’t reserved for traffic cones and prison jumpsuits anymore. This color will warm up both fair and dark skin. When you wear a a saturated orange and strong lip keep the rest of your makeup low key and stick to a soft, peach blush and a swipe of black eyeliner plus some nice mascara.
Red never goes out of fashion. Red hot lips makes any women look sexy and sultry. Blue-based reds look best on fair skin while orange-based ones flatter medium and dark complexions
2. GLOSSY BROWN GOLD SHADOW AND PEARLY WHITE EYE SHADOW
Try MAC Metal X Eyeshadow in “Venetian Tarnish” Golden tarnished bronze and “Virgin Silver” White with silver pearl
Brown eye shadow is a makeup-bag staple, but now makeup artists are amping it up with a touch of shine. MAC just came out with a line of Metal X shadows that are amazing! I love that they have a nice metallic shimmer to them and come a bunch of different colors but the shimmer brown is what is in season right now! Just a touch of this swept over the eyes adds instant attraction to your eyes.
3. LAYERED BLUSHES IN PINK AND APRICOT
Try MAC “Fresh Honey” Blush (Warm apricot) and “Early Morning” Blush (Peachy pink)
This is the year to layer your blushes! Wearing only one color makes your face look flat and one dimensional – make it look naturally flushed by applying the peach blush first, followed by pink, on the apples of your cheeks.
4. VIOLET NAILS
Violet nails are all the rage on the 2012 Spring runways. Violet looks best on short, well-groomed nails.
5. CREAMY BROWN LINER
Try MAC “Teddy” Kohl Eye Pencil
What is hot on Spring 2012 runways? Hot brown smokey eyes. Rim the inside of your lower lash line with your favorite black pencil, then draw a smudgy chocolate brown line along your upper and lower lash lines – smudge it out to create that smokey effect and make it look hot with a nude lip.
6. PEACHY PINK LIP GLOSS
Try MAC “Naked Space” Creamy mid-tone nude peach
